MEN IN SUITS 3 (More Accessories)
1. THE BELT; The main function of this is to hold up the trousers (everyone knows that), but some men skip the belt once the trouser waist is firm. The belt gives a complete look to a suit (firm waist or not) and in my opinion, should not be skipped unless you're wearing suspenders.
2. THE WRIST WATCH; Not every man wears a wrist watch. It is more than just an accessory by the way, even if it is mostly not seen through the shirt sleeves, it gives this aura of a confident man when a lady asks 'what says the time please?' and you look at your watch :)
NB: The dress watch is to be worn with a formal suit and not a sport watch.

3. THE NECKLACE: Like I mentioned in the previous post, it sometimes replaces the tie and some men wear one despite the tie. This says a lot about your personality/style.

4. LAPEL PINS: They can be worn as a work/position badge, mini award plaque, a fashion statement customized for personal purposes.

5. THE SUSPENDERS: Originally a device used in holding up a man's trousers before the belt was invented. Obviously, they should not be worn alongside a belt, and they should not be seen through the jacket (if you're wearing one). They give this old school look to an outfit, it is easy to look funny in them, they are popularly worn as dancers in recent times.
6. SHOES: Most of the time, men wear black or brown shoes with their suits, but I say: step out of the box, try something different without looking like a clown.
Loafers, Brogues, Boat shoes, and Formal shoes all rock on the suit. |
And that will be all for now on men fashion, stay tuned to latenightgist.com for more.
