Right Styling For The Right Body Shape 6

Lets check out the INVERTED TRIANGLE  also called the Athletic body. :)
They are usually supermodels in 'oyiboland' lol (as almost anything fits them) but are regarded as 'tomboys' here in Naija. They just need a few tips on what fits best so they look feminine as any other shape. ;)

She has no excuse? she nailed it right ?
Description:
Broad Shoulders. yeah right!, shoulders are wider than the waist, (usually manly) great legs, little or no waist, could have slight curves to look hour glass, apple or rectangle.

Avoid: Thin straps. Run from them, they are not cute on you. they make your arms look larger than life, and drag all the attention off your shape.  Avoid tops with bold and large patterns across shoulders, jackets with large lapels or collars, and clothes that don't fit at the waist.

Best out fits: ruffles, pleats, flares, peplums and other details around the hips, waist or bottom are great on this shape for a fuller and rounder illusion. Light colored skirts or pants + dark colored tops are on point, boot-cuts, flared and wide legged jeans or pants are super. Knitted sweater tops, collarless shirt, wide strapped tops and dresses,(u and v-necked ) look good on this shape. Belts are great, embellished or detailed jackets are lovely too.

Hint; Add more volume to your waist and legs to take attention off shoulders

Soft, draping fabrics around the shoulders

Serena rocking wide straps ;)

Here's another fab actress who styles this shape so well. There's nothing wrong with round necked clothes, but make sure they are fitted at your waist.... so you don't look like a cloth hanger.
Remember; wrong styling spells 'zero class' or a lady who doesn't care about how she looks... so style it up beautiful ladies. We'll be referring to these style classes in other fashion posts to come, so stay tuned to latenightgist with Rhoda Morakinyo for more ;)
