Its been three weeks since the woju crooner and former G-worldwide star announced the changing of his name from "Kiss Daniel" to "Kizz Daniel".
But apparently, he did not trademark the name, and former record Label has come out to claim ownership of the name "Kizz Daniel"
Since the changing of the name, the former Label had remained silent until Friday June 15 2018 when it released a statement saying that the whole world should take note that the new name "Kizz Daniel" is also owned by G-worldwide.
A presiding judge of the federal high court had on may 16 told Kiss Daniel's lawyers to settle with G-worldwide and report on the settlement at the adjourned date of June 26 2018, as he does not believe that he case should be one that should go to trial, but until now no settlement deal has been reported.
G-worldwide has advised the general public to take note that they are also the owners of the name "Kiss Daniel" and has notified all digital platforms to take down any of the materials where the name "kizz Daniel" is in use as this is a breach of the company's intellectual property rights.
They further advised the public and other artists to desist from engaging the artist in respect of the name, adding that it would not hesitate to take appropriate legal actions to obtain judicial redress where necessary.
Artist Kizz Daniel is still yet to respond to these allegations.
