Jonathan hands over power on May 28
President Goodluck Jonathan will officially hand over power to the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari on May 28, about 24 hours before Buhari’s inauguration, reports The Nation.
The handover ceremony would be done at a dinner ceremony in Abuja.
Minister of Information, Patricia Akwashiki, disclosed this on Wednesday at the end of the Federal Executive Council meeting presided over by President Jonathan.
She noted that May 29 would just be ceremonial since the date has been declared as Democracy Day in Nigeria.
