TANKER CRUSHES SCHOOL KIDS

Tragedy struck at Ikota area of Ajah community in Lagos State on Monday morning as three primary school pupils were feared crushed to death by a truck on the Lekki-Ajah Expressway.

One person was also reportedly hit by stray bullets from policemen who tried to disperse angry villagers who protested on the expressway, asking for the presence of the Lagos State governor before the road would be reopened.
The villagers unanimously blamed the Monday killings on the non-availability of a pedestrian bridge for thousands of residents and indigenes of the village, including hapless school pupils who cross the road almost daily.
