Money Laundering: EFCC Releases Lamido’s Sons on Bail

Aminu and Mustapha, sons of the Jigawa State Governor, Alhaji Sule Lamido who were arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC have been released on administrative bail.

Meanwhile, the State Security Service is investigating officials of some banks in relation to the alleged money laundering issue that landed the governor’s sons in EFCC net.

Findings revealed that the SSS commenced investigation into the issue shortly after Aminu Lamido’s arrest at the Aminu Kano airport last year. Street Journal also gathered that upon investigation, it was discovered that companies traced to the Governor’s sons were involved in transactions that involved the transfer of funds belonging to Jigawa State.
